Can you recommend good stock scanning software that is fully customizable to personal filters?

I have used an "online" scanner that I like very much and have created specific filters I like, but they could shut down the site at any time so I would like to get some actual scanning software.

Yahoo’s advanced screen is not too bad. Reuter’s may be more to your liking.

to use such software, you have to subscribe to a data service. Afaik, the cheapest US data service is worden.com — you’ll find them on the web.
They’ll GIVE you their scanning software for free — it’s a download, runs on any Windows PC.
Frankly, their software is probably more powerful by far than you’ll know how to use — at first. That’s part of the value — you’ll learn as you go.
