Why does my HP 2605 Laser Printer print dirty pages?

Posted by Filed Under Personal Laser Printer with 2 Comments

Hi, I have a problem with my HP 2605 laser printer and wondered if anyone can help?

It’s producing dirty pages with a marbled effect across the entire page when printing. I have tried several types of papers and the text and images print fine although the pages appear dirty.

The toners have around 25% left each and I didn’t want to purchase new ones if this is a problem with the fuser. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

Which toner should I use for a laser printer cartridge?

Posted by Filed Under Personal Laser Printer with 3 Comments

I want to add toner (the black ink powder) to the cartridge of my laser printer. Does it matter which toner I use, or does each brand has its own type of toners (with unique specs)? For example, if I take the toner out from an HP printer cartridge and place it in a Brother cartridge, will it work? Are toners universal?

Which is more cost effective for mass reproduction, using the copy machine or print using a laser printer?

I do a lot of printing/copying. Sometimes I’ll print 75 pages using an hp Laser Jet or I’ll print 1 copy off the laser printer and then make 75 copies using the Xerox machine. Both are high frequency machines. My question is which method is more cost effective, printing mass quantities off the laser jet or photocopy machine. Thanks in advance for the input!
