I want to know that is the best compact photo printer or a stand alone printer or in all in one printer that is cheap in ink and the best photo prints.

I have try the Kodak 5300 all in one printer and that printer sucks and the software that came with it also sucks.

I have had great results with the HP 7300 series. Beautiful pictures, direct read memory cards and reasonably priced inks.

All in one printers are best for those who do not have room for scanners, printers, fax machines, etc. Most combination tools are not as good as the individual tools. Photo printers are for printing photos and do not efficiently work well for ordinary printing. Decide what you want to use your printer for and go to a retailer who will print out a test page for you on the different printer models. That way you can find just what you want.

Your question is very wide and covers three different types of printer.

    1. Compact printer. I assume by this you mean one that makes 6×4 prints. I have an Epson Picture Mate which will print direct from cards. Canon also have an excellent range.

    2. All in one Printer. I have an Epson Photo RX500 which scans, copies and makes excellent photo prints up to 10×8. It will also send faxes, if you could do that with broadband! The advantage is that you can get a wide range of compatible inks from numerous manufacturers very easily.

    3. Stand alone printers. I have always used Epsons. Canons are also excellent. After reading endless reviews I would never touch one from any of the other manufacturers.
